About the position

The Network Engineer will be a key member of the Network Security and IP Services team, focusing on the engineering and operational support of the client's Micro-Segmentation Platforms. This role emphasizes automation and standards-based designs to facilitate machine-friendly models for automation, contributing to the development and management of advanced networking technologies for the private cloud.

Responsibilities

• Operate and manage the Micro-Segmentation platforms with a focus on DevOps in infrastructure changes and monitoring.
• Quickly identify and resolve issues in collaboration with internal customers.
• Represent the team in enterprise-level initiatives for building new data centers.
• Collaborate with internal IT teams to resolve complex issues.
• Work with platform and software engineers to enhance build/run posture.
• Manage system configurations and infrastructure using industry-standard tools.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience with VMware NSX in a large-scale environment, including deployment, management, configuration, and troubleshooting.
• Operational experience with the NSX REST API.
• Experience troubleshooting NSX issues related to ESX and vCenter.
• Familiarity with OS virtualization and supporting technologies including VMware ESX and VMware Aria Operations.
• Familiarity with CheckPoint operations and management.
• Experience with scripting and programming languages like Python.
• Knowledge of CI/CD concepts and tooling such as Chef, Jenkins, and Ansible.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Proficient in producing quality technical documentation.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Hands-on experience with Illumio PCE.
