About the position

The Network Data Engineer position at Wipro is a remote role focused on providing engineering support for Cisco hardware and network systems. The role involves managing incidents, supporting customer downtimes, and ensuring compliance with change control processes. Responsibilities

• Support customer with downtime and manage incidents.
• Perform periodic updates on customer devices.
• Support escalation needs and build custom reports.
• Conduct on-site and remote health checks.
• Process changes and support projects, ensuring change control compliance.
• Update tickets and perform assorted administrative work.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 4+ years of experience working with voice and data.
• Knowledge of Routing/Switching/Telco-Transport Layer/Mobility and ISP environments.
• Knowledge of IP and Enterprise Network.
• Troubleshooting experience with Cisco hardware including switches, routers, WAN/LAN, SDWAN, and WLANs.
• Good knowledge of Cisco and Meraki devices, with experience in managing LAN/WAN.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Resourceful, with the ability to work independently.
• Strong time management skills and attention to detail.

Nice-to-haves

• Prior networking experience in the telecom domain (AT&T, Verizon etc.) for enterprise customers.
