About the position

The Sr Network Engineer position is a contract role focused on transitioning sites to SD-WAN technology, optimizing configurations, and developing monitoring tools to enhance network performance. The role requires a strong background in network engineering, particularly with Cisco technologies, and involves collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure effective network integration and operation.

Responsibilities

• Convert sites to SD-WAN and optimize SD-WAN configurations for peak performance.
• Develop and implement monitoring tools to track and analyze network performance.
• Create dashboards to visualize key network performance metrics.
• Set thresholds and manage alerting and incident correlation to ensure network reliability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless network integration and operation.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of network configurations, policies, and procedures.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for network-related issues.
• Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in network management and security.

Requirements

• 5+ years of Network Engineering experience
• Cisco Catalyst SD-WAN (formerly named Viptela) expertise
• Experience with Monitoring Tools/Configuration
• Cisco Certification (CCNA, CCNP, etc)
