About the position

Akkodis is seeking a Network Engineer for a contract position in a hybrid setting in Richmond, Virginia. The role focuses on developing and maintaining a network infrastructure monitoring and alerting strategy to ensure optimal network performance and security.

Responsibilities

• Designing and supporting data center and campus networks, including routing, switching, and Wi-Fi.
• Providing operational support for Arista LAN and Wi-Fi infrastructure.
• Reviewing and optimizing network designs for EVPN, VxLAN, and leaf-spine architectures.
• Deploying and maintaining Arista's NDR and AGNI security solutions.
• Developing a monitoring and alerting strategy for network infrastructure.
• Ensuring seamless interoperability between Arista, Cisco, and Palo Alto networking solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university preferred.
• 10+ years of experience with network technologies and network design.
• Expert knowledge of leaf-spine architectures and VxLAN.
• Experience with Arista or other commercial Wi-Fi platforms.
