About the position

As a Network Engineer at Parsons, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the development, implementation, and evaluation of a resilient GPS network. This position is integral to supporting day-to-day operations, which include maintenance and patching of network systems. You will be responsible for supporting the government and program in their authority to connect to multiple mission networks, ensuring seamless communication and data transfer across various platforms. Your responsibilities will also include configuring and optimizing network hubs, routers, and switches to enhance performance and reliability. Monitoring network capacity and performance will be a key part of your role, allowing you to identify and address potential issues proactively. Additionally, you will be tasked with testing and maintaining network infrastructure, which encompasses both software and hardware devices, ensuring that all components function effectively and efficiently. Responsibilities

  • Provide oversight of the development, implementation, and evaluation of the resilient GPS network.
  • Support day-to-day operations including maintenance and patching.
  • Support the government and program in authority to connect to multiple mission networks.
  • Configure and optimize network hubs, routers, and switches.
  • Monitor network capacity and performance.
  • Test and maintain network infrastructure including software and hardware devices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and typically 5+ years of related professional experience
  • Active Secret Clearance
  • Ability to design and implement network architectures
  • One infrastructure-related technology certification.
