GovCIO is currently seeking a Network Engineer for our HUD proposal. This fully remote position is crucial for implementing computer system requirements by defining and analyzing system problems, as well as designing and testing standards and solutions. The Network Engineer will play a key role in gathering information about the capabilities of Company products, investigating the technical capabilities of both Company products and competing equipment, and staying updated on developments in hardware and software. In this role, the Network Engineer will generate quantifiable requirements based on customer descriptions, system planning, and design, ensuring that these requirements comply through formal verification methods. The position involves translating high-level product development strategies into network and system requirement specifications, collaborating with other engineering disciplines to develop lower-level detailed implementation requirements. The Network Engineer will establish and coordinate the development of standards, practices, and procedures related to network and system development. This includes designing interfaces and integrating network and system elements to function cohesively. Performance assessment will be conducted using evaluation criteria and technical performance measures, and the engineer will act as a customer liaison to support business development activities and to understand and shape requirements. Additionally, the role involves coordinating the planning, design, and installation of equipment, utilizing knowledge of engineering and programming, as well as sophisticated instruments and computers. The Network Engineer will participate in system conceptual design and documentation, install new hardware, systems, and software for networks, and design, create, and build network services, equipment, and devices. Responsibilities also include generating system-level requirements verification procedures and customer acceptance test procedures, monitoring system performance, implementing performance tuning, and reviewing test plans/procedures to ensure they meet contractual objectives while participating in the testing process to validate requirements.
