About the position

As a Network Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing and implementing network solutions that meet the evolving needs of the Department of Defense (DoD). Your expertise will be essential in upgrading and developing enterprise-wide infrastructure, troubleshooting complex network issues, and enhancing the security and reliability of mission-critical systems. You will leverage your knowledge of network protocols, equipment, and emerging technologies to optimize client operations and support national security missions.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement network solutions for the DoD.
• Upgrade or develop enterprise-wide infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues.
• Analyze current working infrastructures to enhance security and reliability.
• Optimize client operations and modernization efforts.
• Serve as a trusted advisor on mission-critical projects.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Network Solutions Design and integration.
• Experience with automation tools and strategies, including Ansible.
• Experience configuring networks with IP schemes and basic troubleshooting.
• Ability to understand enterprise-level networks.
• Ability to drive projects to closure in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to communicate technical approaches within small project teams.
• Top Secret clearance.
• Bachelor's degree in an Engineering, Science, or Computer Science field.

Nice-to-haves

• 6+ years of experience with network configuration.
• 3+ years of experience in automation practices.
• 2+ years of experience in Cloud Integration.
• Experience developing best practices.
• Knowledge of structured cabling and Cloud infrastructure.
• Knowledge of basic wireless communication.
• Security Plus Certification.
