As a Network Engineer, you will play a vital role in maintaining the operations of multi-user computer systems. Your responsibilities will include working with virtual computer systems and VLANs, as well as managing COTS software products while performing both Network Administration and System Administration tasks. You will be expected to work with Cisco ACI and other networking products that are essential for a virtualized networking infrastructure. Your expertise in advanced networking concepts and design best practices will be crucial in ensuring that our systems operate efficiently within a software development environment. In this position, you will monitor and address system performance issues, apply network configurations, and create network designs. You will also provide training on system configuration, assist in deploying software and hardware deliveries, and support special projects. Collaboration with operational crews and contractor teams to resolve system and network issues will be a key aspect of your role. Additionally, you will engage in security efforts, including working with TACLANE/Encryption, and utilize AWS, virtualization, and DevSecOps pipelines in your daily tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain operations of multi-user computer systems
  • Work with virtual computer systems and VLANs
  • Manage COTS software products and perform Network Administration and System Administration tasks
  • Utilize Cisco ACI and other networking products for a virtualized networking infrastructure
  • Provide knowledge of advanced networking concepts and design best practices
  • Monitor and correct system performance issues
  • Apply network configurations and create network designs
  • Perform training on system configuration
  • Assist in deploying software/hardware deliveries
  • Support special projects and assist operational crews in resolving system and network issues
  • Work with AWS, virtualization, and DevSecOps pipelines
  • Perform security efforts including working with TACLANE/Encryption

Requirements

  • Advanced degree and 7+ years experience or bachelor's with 9+ years experience or equivalent
  • An active Secret security clearance with ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance required; Active TS/SCI clearance preferred
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies and full software development cycle
  • Familiarity with Cisco Nexus, ASA, FMC technologies for Software-Defined Networking
  • Experience with Cisco ACI and other networking products for virtualized networking infrastructure
  • Experience with COTS software products
  • Experience with monitoring, troubleshooting, applying network configurations, and leading design efforts
  • Experience with equipment installs
  • Knowledge of DevOps methodologies
  • Satellite ground system experience
