About the position

The Network Engineer position involves managing and optimizing network infrastructure, focusing on Cisco products, routing, switching, and firewalls. The role requires hands-on experience in deploying and configuring network devices, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring high-performance network operations. The engineer will also be responsible for maintaining documentation, conducting proactive analyses, and implementing security measures within the network environment.

Responsibilities

  • Deploy and configure network devices.
  • Update network diagrams for documentation of the existing network setup.
  • Conduct proactive analysis to identify areas of improvement.
  • Provide SME-level troubleshooting and issue resolution support.
  • Standardize configuration of network devices.
  • Coordinate with OEM/3rd party for connectivity and infrastructure issues as needed.
  • Plan, schedule, and implement network device software/hardware upgrades and migrations.
  • Manage cloud network traffic and gateway profiles, including VPN and IP management.
  • Design, implement, maintain, and troubleshoot a global ACI environment.
  • Implement and maintain a secure and high-performance wireless network using advanced Cisco technologies.
  • Maintain a zero-down ISE infrastructure with expert troubleshooting skills.
  • Implement advanced log analysis and correlation to proactively identify and address network issues.
  • Manage, design, and troubleshoot the Infoblox DDI environment with advanced expertise.
  • Configure and manage load balancers.
  • Handle incident, service catalog, problem, and change management for network services.

Requirements

  • Good experience in operations working on Cisco products.
  • Excellent knowledge in routing protocols and troubleshooting skills.
  • CCNA and CCNP certifications in Routing and Switching.
  • Advanced knowledge of Routing and Switching technology.
  • Understanding of authentication protocols like TACACS and Radius.
  • Good understanding of change and problem management processes.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Cisco Meraki products.
  • Familiarity with cloud network management.
  • Knowledge of advanced log analysis tools like Splunk.
