About The Position
Netsmart is seeking a skilled Network Engineer to join our team, responsible for the setup and configuration of complex network environments. This role involves establishing and maintaining a robust networking environment by implementing system configurations, directing system installations, and defining, documenting, and enforcing system standards. The ideal candidate will maximize network performance through proactive monitoring, troubleshooting network problems and outages, and planning, documenting, and scheduling upgrades and changes to the network infrastructure. Collaboration with network architects on network optimization, design, and implementation is also a key aspect of this position. The Network Engineer will maintain a thorough understanding of the fundamentals of the Internet and its workings, including security protocols, IP routing, and VPNs. Additionally, the role requires maintaining multi-site network operations and conducting regular maintenance with both private and public facilities. A strong understanding of network security protocols is essential, as the engineer will be expected to make security-focused improvements efficiently and effectively. This position is critical to ensuring that Netsmart's technology solutions are delivered effectively to our clients in the post-acute and human services sectors.
