About the position

The position involves the design, configuration, integration, maintenance, security, management, monitoring, and troubleshooting of Cisco and Palo Alto networking equipment. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in both global and intranet networks, as well as familiarity with current commercial internet operations and best practices. This role requires the development and deployment of various network architectures, both physical and virtual, and the use of network automation tools. Strong communication skills are essential, and experience with software-defined networks and virtualization is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Design and configure Cisco and Palo Alto routers, switches, FEXs, ASAs, and Firewalls.
• Integrate and maintain network equipment and ensure security protocols are followed.
• Monitor and troubleshoot network issues to ensure optimal performance.
• Develop and deploy physical and virtual network architectures.
• Utilize network automation tools such as Ansible, Nagios, and Manage Engine.
• Administer VMware/ESXi environments and maintain related systems.
• Manage Microsoft domain technologies including Active Directory and group policy.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM concentration.
• 10 years of related experience in network management and design.
• Professional certifications such as Cisco CCNP and CISSP.
• Experience with desktop and server operating systems (Microsoft, RedHat, Ubuntu).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with software-defined networks and virtualization in cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure, Oracle).
• Familiarity with network automation tools and techniques.
