About the position

The Network Operations Representative is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining network infrastructure to support organizational needs. This role involves working with advanced networking protocols and ensuring network security, performance optimization, and compliance with industry standards. The position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to manage network migrations and provide ongoing support.

Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed network architecture plans incorporating IPv4 and IPv6 addressing schemes.
  • Set up network devices with advanced protocol features such as BGP/MP-BGP and EVPN VXLAN.
  • Conduct thorough analysis of existing networks and develop migration plans.
  • Monitor and manage network performance using SNMP/NetFlow/sFlow/ICMP/syslog.
  • Implement security protocols such as IPSec for secure network communications.
  • Apply QoS protocols to prioritize network traffic and ensure efficient bandwidth usage.
  • Ensure network protocols comply with industry standards such as IEEE 802.1X/MAB.
  • Implement disaster recovery protocols to ensure network continuity and redundancy.
  • Assess current network usage and predict future needs for capacity planning.
  • Work with multiple client teams to perform setup, configuration, and testing of networking solutions.

Requirements

  • Strong technical knowledge of networking protocols including BGP/MP-BGP, EVPN VXLAN, and OSPF.
  • Experience with network device installation and configuration, including DHCP and DNS.
  • Ability to conduct network assessments and develop migration plans.
  • Proficient in network performance monitoring tools such as SNMP and NetFlow.
  • Knowledge of security management protocols like IPSec and RADIPi servers.
  • Experience with performance optimization techniques including QoS and NAT.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with disaster recovery protocols and backup systems.
  • Experience in capacity planning and network infrastructure upgrades.
