About the position

The Network Engineer position at KNZ Solutions involves supporting managed network services, firewalls, and tools for clients. The role requires strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a focus on independent work within a collaborative team environment. The engineer will be responsible for developing operational configurations, troubleshooting network issues, and maintaining client relationships through effective communication.

Responsibilities

• Develop operational configuration
• Develop runbooks
• Develop processes and procedures based on best practices
• Perform remote troubleshooting through proven diagnostic techniques
• Analyze and resolve network performance, connectivity and related issues
• Manage and perform equipment builds, deploy software patches & upgrades
• Create and maintain accurate documentation for internal knowledge base
• Conduct root cause analysis and problem resolution
• Identify and solve repeat issues, improving existing services or processes
• Provide exceptional customer service and maintain client relationships
• Present solutions to technology issues in user-friendly language
• Ensure clear communication with customers to resolve open issues

Requirements

• 5+ years of network engineering/implementation/support/troubleshooting experience
• 3+ years of experience in Cisco implementation and support in medium to large environments
• Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
• B.S. in Computer Science or related discipline
• Knowledgeable of ITIL processes

• Experience with FTD Threat Prevention configuration/O&M
