About the position

Client is seeking a Network Engineer (NE) to participate in the coordination, installation, support, and maintenance of network infrastructure with a focus on enterprise network, supporting client’s Data Center exits into a new Data Center operating model. The Network Engineer will provide technical support to end users via troubleshooting skills across both network and system applications. The role involves integrating, consolidating, and maintaining network services across routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless devices. Additionally, the Network Engineer will coordinate, design, implement, and validate network solutions in accordance with the client’s latest architectural design standards, ensuring implementation and validation through best practices. Internet designs and migrations must be executed during business-approved change green-zones, which are non-business hours. In this contingent resource assignment, the candidate may consult on or participate in moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within Network Engineering and contribute to large-scale planning related to Network Engineering deliverables. The role also includes reviewing and analyzing moderately complex Network Engineering challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. The Network Engineer will contribute to the resolution of moderately complex issues and consult with others to meet Network Engineering deliverables while leveraging a solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements. Collaboration with client personnel in Network Engineering is also a key aspect of this position.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the coordination, installation, support, and maintenance of network infrastructure.
• Provide technical support to end users via troubleshooting skills across network and system applications.
• Integrate, consolidate, and maintain network services across routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless devices.
• Coordinate, design, implement, and validate network solutions according to architectural design standards.
• Execute internet designs and migrations during approved change green-zones (non-business hours).
• Consult on or participate in moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within Network Engineering.
• Review and analyze moderately complex Network Engineering challenges.
• Contribute to the resolution of moderately complex issues and consult with others to meet deliverables.
• Collaborate with client personnel in Network Engineering.

Requirements

• 4 plus years of Network Engineering experience or equivalent through work, consulting, training, military experience, or education.
• 3 plus years of experience designing and implementing LAN/WAN/Datacenter solutions for large enterprise environments.
• 3 plus years of experience with IP routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, Static), specializing in implementing DDoS mitigation strategies and configuring ACLs in a large enterprise environment.
• 3 plus years of experience with configuration of routing and switching latest platforms and solutions - Cisco Nexus and/or Arista product line.

Nice-to-haves

• CCNA, CCNP/DP or CCIE Certification preferred - Datacenter.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science/engineering and/or 3 plus years of Networking Experience.
• Demonstrated skill with creating and/or updating technical design documentation used by engineering teams.
• Experience working in a Product/Agile environment utilizing Atlassian Jira products.
• Experience and familiarity with Change control processes - Service Now.
• Excellent documentation and verbal communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal, influencing, and relationship building skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Office, Visio Professional.
• Experience with regulatory and auditor collaboration.
• Experience preferred with scripting YAML/Python/Ansible/GITHUB.
• Ability to make decisions quickly in a high-volume hosting environment.
• Ability to solve complex problems and analyze issues.
• Ability to coordinate, document and drive flawless execution.
