Our work depends on you joining our team to focus on the technical aspects of data center network architecture and operations. You will work daily alongside engineering staff at the site to become thoroughly familiar with unique processes and requirements relative to the DOD specific configurations and challenges. In this role, you will be responsible for evaluating network performance and interacting with users to solve complex problems. You will work at a high technical level on all phases of network operations, maintaining a complex range of computer network components and systems. Your responsibilities will include providing client consulting and training on the interfacing and use of the network facilities, planning and coordinating computer network initiatives, and researching, evaluating, and recommending new computer network equipment and technologies. You will also devise solutions to operational problems within the capacity and operational limitations of installed equipment, providing internal consulting, technical guidance, information, and support to application developers, computer operations, workstation support, company management, and departmental clients. As a Network Engineer, you will work with other network professionals to coordinate efforts, resolve cross-team issues, and communicate changes. This position requires a Secret Clearance to start and the ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance. Good communication skills, attention to detail, and organizational abilities are essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate network performance and interact with users to solve complex problems.
  • Work at a high technical level on all phases of network operations.
  • Maintain a complex range of computer network components and systems.
  • Provide client consulting and training on the interfacing and use of the network facilities.
  • Plan and coordinate computer network initiatives.
  • Research, evaluate, and recommend new computer network equipment and technologies.
  • Devise solutions to operational problems within the capacity and operational limitations of installed equipment.
  • Provide internal consulting, technical guidance, information, and support to application developers, computer operations, workstation support, company management, and departmental clients.
  • Coordinate efforts with other network professionals to resolve cross-team issues and communicate changes.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of related experience in network engineering.
  • CCNA or equivalent certification required.
  • DOD 8570 IAT level II required.
  • Must closely follow network protocols and methodology.
  • Must be able to evaluate network performance and interact with users to solve complex problems.
  • Detail oriented and organized; able to understand network evaluation criteria and be exact in assessments.

Nice-to-haves

  • CCNP or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Military experience preferred.
