The ideal candidate will be well-versed in the latest methods and technologies in the IT industry and will be responsible for providing network engineering, administration, and technical support for our entire operation. This includes managing LAN/WAN (Cisco), Firewalls (Palo Alto), VPN, and wireless systems. The candidate will also interact with senior management to provide effective solutions to technology issues affecting operations. In this role, you will mentor and train the existing team to troubleshoot and resolve connectivity issues, maintain software licensing product inventories, and perform data backup operations for network systems. You will be responsible for communicating the status of issues, tasks, and projects to management both verbally and in writing. Additionally, you will create, communicate, maintain, and monitor project implementation or troubleshooting task lists and plans, along with other necessary documentation. A thorough working knowledge of all applications is essential to ensure a superior level of user service and satisfaction throughout the property. You will also enforce standards of security, system integrity, and confidentiality within the department. Responsibilities

  • Mentor and train the existing team to troubleshoot and resolve connectivity issues.
  • Maintain all software licensing product inventories.
  • Perform and maintain data backup operations for network systems.
  • Communicate status of issues, tasks, and projects to management verbally and in writing as required.
  • Create, communicate, maintain, and monitor project implementation or troubleshooting task lists and plans, as well as other written documentation.
  • Maintain a thorough working knowledge of all applications to ensure a superior level of user service and satisfaction is achieved and maintained throughout the property.
  • Enforce standards of security, system integrity, and confidentiality within the department.

Requirements

  • High school graduate; BA/BS desired but not required.
  • 3-5 years of advanced experience in a Cisco environment and VMware infrastructure.
  • Cisco, Meraki, and VMware certifications desired but not required.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Must be able to speak English.
