About the position

The Sr. Support Engineer at TEKsystems is responsible for providing technical leadership within the Global Wholesale Banking (GWB) infrastructure technology operations. This role involves redefining service delivery to meet global business challenges, working closely with business partners to define technical requirements, and providing top-tier support for operations. The engineer will also support executive management during critical incidents and drive necessary changes to improve operational visibility and proactively identify issues.

Responsibilities

• Provide Network and DMZ operational support related to Incident Management and Problem Management.
• Troubleshoot and engineer solutions within and connecting to DMZs.
• Work with stakeholders daily to resolve Incidents, Problems, Changes, and Service Requests.
• Support operational and engineering tasks on Cisco, F5, CheckPoint, AVI, BlueCoat, BlueCat, and DMZ technologies.
• Build networks, configure Load Balancers, Proxies, and develop Firewall policies.
• Manage a variety of individual network devices and adopt new skills as needed.
• Diagnose issues in large multi-datacenter multi-tiered application environments.

Requirements

• Strong experience in building Networks and configuring Load Balancers and Proxies.
• Experience with Firewall policies and general DMZ technologies.
• Familiarity with Vulnerability Management and Enterprise Security Baselines.
• Strong knowledge of protocols such as TCP/IP, SSL/TLS, SSH, SFTP.
• Ability to manage individual network devices and troubleshoot complex issues.

Nice-to-haves

• Familiarity with Middleware and Platform inter-operations within a DMZ.
• Experience with storage, clustering, and patching activities.
• Willingness to upgrade skills and learn new technologies.
