About the position

Our progressive and innovative IT firm is looking for an experienced Network Engineer with significant experience in Cisco Network switches and routers, Meraki, Palo Alto firewalls, and Palo Alto Panorama. This role requires a masterful command of networking concepts and practices and the ability to apply them pragmatically in a complex corporate network environment. This role is pivotal in maintaining and improving our company's connectivity, productivity, and performance. Responsibilities

  • Configure, install, and support data center and branch office networking equipment, including Cisco switches, routers, and wireless controllers.
  • Manage the company's network infrastructure such as Meraki APs, switches, and security appliances.
  • Implement and manage Palo Alto firewalls and Palo Alto Panorama for a secure network environment.
  • Collaborate with the IT team and relevant departments to design and implement network enhancements and projects.
  • Troubleshoot complex network issues to ensure minimal downtime and maximum operational efficiency.
  • Enhance and maintain the highest level of security on all network equipment through regular audits, updates, and patches.
  • Conduct network performance tests, monitoring systems, and prepare performance reports on a regular basis.
  • Provide network documentation, training, and guidance to colleagues and other team members.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on network engineering experience, managing both wired and wireless networks.
  • Extensive experience with Cisco Networks - switches, routers, wireless controllers, and Meraki.
  • Profound knowledge and experience with Palo Alto Firewalls and Palo Alto Panorama are mandatory.
  • Understand and apply commonly-used networking protocols and services (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, etc.).
  • Exceptional analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Relevant certifications like CCNA, CCNP, PCNSE will be a distinct advantage.
  • Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strict adherence to company policies and procedures regarding security.
  • Willingness and ability to keep up with modern network technologies and continually evolve skill set.
  • A team player with a can-do attitude, flexible, and able to work in a high-pressure environment.
