About the position

The Network Engineer role at Robert Half is a contract-to-hire position focused on the design, implementation, and maintenance of network systems to support business operations and meet customer requirements. This position requires collaboration with IT teams to integrate network solutions and provide technical support. The role involves significant travel for onsite configurations and installations across various projects in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Design and build network infrastructures for large-scale projects such as apartment complexes, connecting 10G circuits to each unit.
  • Configure routing protocols (BGP and other Cisco protocols) using Meraki and Cisco equipment for efficient connectivity.
  • Travel for onsite configuration, installation, and 'rack and stack' of network equipment.
  • Provide ongoing maintenance and 24/7 support through an after-hours rotation, conducting network updates and monitoring systems.
  • Manage access control solutions and connect multiple networks in compliance with client specifications.
  • Collaborate closely with clients to understand project requirements and deliver tailored network solutions.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Network Engineer.
  • Proficiency in working with Cisco Routers and Cisco Technologies is mandatory.
  • Solid understanding of Computer Hardware.
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification is required.
  • Experience with Meraki is a plus.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve network issues efficiently.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and team collaboration abilities.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and act with discretion and integrity.
  • Legally authorized to work in the country without sponsorship.
