About the position

The Network Engineer position at ManTech involves working on critical projects that support national security. The role requires a motivated individual to configure, troubleshoot, and maintain network systems, ensuring robust connectivity and security. The engineer will work with various Cisco devices and Linux troubleshooting tools, contributing to complex IT solutions and project management.

Responsibilities

• Configure and troubleshoot Cisco ASR routers including HSRP, OSPF, BGP, and route-map.
• Configure and troubleshoot Cisco ASA firewalls.
• Troubleshoot DNS, SMTP, IP routing, latency, and connectivity issues.
• Implement TCP/IP and related services such as DHCP and DNS.
• Install and upgrade Cisco Switches and Firewalls (ASA) IOS using TFTP.
• Maintain all LAN/WAN connectivity.
• Document network problems and resolutions for future reference.
• Oversee software and network security.
• Utilize Linux network troubleshooting tools to solve complex network issues.

Requirements

• TS/SCI with polygraph clearance required.
• High school diploma with twenty (20) years of relevant experience.
• Ability to manage project work as defined by the government.
• Experience leading medium to large complex projects.

Nice-to-haves

• Associates degree with fifteen (15) years of relevant experience or bachelor's degree with twelve (12) years of relevant experience.
• Experience with cross-domain solutions including VPNs and Taclane 175 encryption devices.
• Knowledge of routing using MPLS/VPLS, OSPF, EIGRP at Core and Distribution devices.
• Experience configuring and troubleshooting Cisco catalyst switches.
