About the position

Eagle Harbor Solutions, a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking an experienced Network Engineer to support EHS and our government customer in Page, Arizona. This position requires the candidate to be able to obtain a Public Trust. The Network Engineer will serve as a subject matter expert for IT Telecommunication Systems, acting as the point of contact for creating, maintaining, and updating the UCB ICS networks. The role involves designing the SCADA network and overseeing all related activities concerning the deployment and commissioning of the ICS networks. The engineer will review and provide configuration recommendations for all ICS network equipment and prepare documentation as directed. This is a remote position that will require travel to perform on-site visits, assessments, and tasks throughout the Upper Colorado Region at various power plants and facilities, including the Glen Canyon Power Plant, Flaming Gorge Power Plant, and others. The Network Engineer will conduct comprehensive assessments of existing ICS networks, identifying current configurations, analyzing traffic patterns, and reviewing security measures. The engineer will design a modernized network architecture that incorporates standard network security practices, ensuring compliance with NERCCIP and FISMA regulatory standards. Responsibilities also include advising on procurement, installation, configuration, and testing of network devices, ensuring effective knowledge transfer to enable Reclamation to operate and maintain the ICS networks, and supporting the development of compliance documentation, policies, and procedures. The engineer will ensure continuous performance of the ICS networks by analyzing, monitoring, and optimizing network performance and security, following change management processes, and providing system security contributions to network security plans and assessments.

Responsibilities

  • Design the SCADA network and oversee all related activities for deployment and commissioning of the ICS networks.
  • Review and provide configuration recommendations for all ICS network equipment.
  • Prepare and provide documentation on ICS network as directed.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of existing ICS networks, identifying current configurations and analyzing traffic patterns.
  • Design a modernized network architecture that incorporates standard network security practices.
  • Advise and aid in the procurement, installation, configuration, and testing of network devices.
  • Ensure effective knowledge transfer to enable Reclamation to operate and maintain the ICS networks.
  • Support Reclamation in developing compliance documentation, policies, and procedures.
  • Analyze, monitor, and optimize the performance and security of the ICS networks.
  • Follow Reclamation's change management processes and test all changes in a representative test environment before implementation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of related work experience.
  • Experience with CISCO routing and switching infrastructure, CISCO ASA Firewalls, CISCO IOS NetFlow, SolarWinds suite, Nessus, and Wireshark is highly desired.
  • Ability to obtain a Public Trust.
