About the position

Parsons is seeking a Network Engineer to join our team, which is dedicated to providing national security and critical infrastructure solutions. In this role, you will be part of a collaborative and mostly autonomous team that supports secure enclave development networks within the Intelligence Community (IC). As a Network Engineer, you will be responsible for configuring and optimizing network hubs, routers, and switches, as well as developing and implementing network backup and recovery procedures. You will diagnose network connectivity problems and install or replace network infrastructure device operating system software. Additionally, you will monitor network capacity and performance, patch network vulnerabilities to safeguard information, and test and maintain network infrastructure, including both software and hardware devices. Responsibilities

  • Configure and optimize network hubs, routers, and switches.
  • Develop and implement network backup and recovery procedures.
  • Diagnose network connectivity problems.
  • Install and maintain network infrastructure device operating system software.
  • Install or replace network hubs, routers, and switches.
  • Monitor network capacity and performance.
  • Patch network vulnerabilities to ensure information is safeguarded against outside parties.
  • Test and maintain network infrastructure including software and hardware devices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree OR High school diploma and 5 years' experience as a Network Engineer
  • Experience with Cisco IOS and PAN-OS
  • Active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph
  • Active DoD IAT Level III certification (e.g. Network+, CISSP, CCSP, GCIH, GCED, CASP+ CE, CCNP Security, CISA)
  • Cisco certification preferred but not required
  • Ability to demonstrate cyber/IT related experience with attention to detail, customer service, oral and written communication, and problem solving.
