The role of a Network Engineer is pivotal in ensuring that the Department of Defense (DoD) has a robust and adaptable network infrastructure to support its missions. As a seasoned network engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing networks that meet the evolving needs of the DoD. This involves a deep understanding of network design and architecture, system interoperability, and various networking protocols. You will leverage your expertise in the OSI model, multi-protocol label switching (MPLS), gateway protocols, and virtual routing and forwarding to create enterprise-wide infrastructure designs that enhance security, reliability, and availability of mission-critical systems. In this position, you will troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues, analyze existing infrastructures, and optimize client operations.
