About the position

The role of a Network Engineer is pivotal in ensuring that the Department of Defense (DoD) has a robust and adaptable network infrastructure to support its missions. As a seasoned network engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing networks that meet the evolving needs of the DoD. This involves a deep understanding of network design and architecture, system interoperability, and various networking protocols. You will leverage your expertise in the OSI model, multi-protocol label switching (MPLS), gateway protocols, and virtual routing and forwarding to create enterprise-wide infrastructure designs that enhance security, reliability, and availability of mission-critical systems. In this position, you will troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues, analyze existing infrastructures, and optimize client operations. Your role will require you to apply your knowledge of enterprise-level network protocols and configurations to guide a team of problem-solvers in deploying new capabilities and technologies for the DoD. You will also serve as a trusted advisor to clients on critical projects, utilizing your experience with software and hardware firewalls, Cisco and Palo Alto hardware, and optical infrastructure networking. Your technical curiosity and adherence to industry standards will be essential in making a significant impact on national security missions. Joining our team means being part of a mission-driven organization where your contributions will directly support the defense of our nation.
