As a Network Engineer, you will be responsible for the coordination, installation, support, and maintenance of network infrastructure, particularly focusing on enterprise networks. This includes supporting the transition of data center operations to a new model. You will provide technical support to end users, troubleshoot network and system applications, and ensure the integration and maintenance of network services across various devices, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless devices. The role requires adherence to the latest architectural design standards and best practices, particularly during internet designs and migrations, which must occur during approved business change green-zones, typically outside of business hours.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the coordination, installation, support, and maintenance of network infrastructure with a focus on enterprise network, supporting our Data Center exits into a new Data Center operating model.
  • Provide technical support to end users via troubleshooting skills across both network and system applications.
  • Integrate, consolidate & maintain network services across routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless devices.
  • Coordinate, design, implement and validate network solutions in accordance with architectural design standards and best practices.
  • Execute internet designs and migrations during business-approved change green-zones (non-business hours).

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience designing and implementing LAN/WAN/Datacenter solutions for large enterprise environments.
  • 3+ years of experience with IP routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, Static), specializing in implementing DDoS mitigation strategies and configuring ACLs in a large enterprise environment.
  • 3+ years of Network Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, military experience, or education.
  • 3+ years of experience with configuration of routing and switching on the latest platforms and solutions - Cisco Nexus and/or Arista product line.

Nice-to-haves

  • CCNA, CCNP/DP or CCIE Certification preferred - Datacenter.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science/engineering and/or 3+ years of Networking Experience.
  • Demonstrated skill with creating and/or updating technical design documentation used by engineering teams.
  • Experience working in a Product/Agile environment utilizing Atlassian Jira products.
  • Experience and familiarity with Change control processes - Service Now.
  • Excellent documentation and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, influencing, and relationship building skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, Visio Professional.
  • Experience with regulatory and auditor collaboration.
  • Experience preferred with scripting YAML/Python/Ansible/GITHUB.
  • Ability to make decisions quickly in a high-volume hosting environment.
  • Ability to solve complex problems and analyze issues.
  • Ability to coordinate, document and drive flawless execution.
