GovCIO is currently seeking a Network Engineer for our HUD proposal. This role is pivotal in implementing computer system requirements by defining and analyzing system problems, as well as designing and testing standards and solutions. The Network Engineer will work remotely, allowing for flexibility while contributing to the transformation of government IT. The position requires a proactive approach to gather information about the capabilities of Company products, investigate the technical capabilities of both Company products and competing equipment, and stay updated on developments in hardware and software. The Network Engineer will generate quantifiable requirements based on customer descriptions, system planning, and design, ensuring compliance through formal verification methods. This role involves translating high-level product development strategies into detailed network and system requirement specifications, collaborating with other engineering disciplines to develop lower-level implementation requirements. The engineer will establish and coordinate the development of standards, practices, and procedures related to network and system development, ensuring that all elements work cohesively. In addition to designing interfaces and integrating network and system elements, the Network Engineer will assess performance using evaluation criteria and technical performance measures. This position also serves as a customer liaison, supporting business development activities and shaping requirements based on customer needs. Responsibilities include planning, designing, and installing equipment, participating in system conceptual design, and documenting design concepts. The engineer will install new hardware, systems, and software for networks, create and build network services, and generate system-level requirements verification procedures. Monitoring system performance and implementing performance tuning are also key aspects of this role, along with reviewing test plans and participating in the testing process to validate requirements.
