About the position

The Network Engineer position focuses on managing and troubleshooting Cisco networking technologies, including routing, switching, and wireless systems. The role requires a solid understanding of various networking protocols and the ability to translate knowledge from Fortinet solutions to Cisco environments. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in network administration and a strong foundation in wireless technologies.

Responsibilities

• Manage and troubleshoot Cisco routing protocols including BGP and OSPF.
• Administer Cisco switching and LAN configurations, ensuring compliance with OSI model standards.
• Support Cisco wireless systems, addressing connectivity issues and understanding the registration process of access points and controllers.
• Implement and manage Cisco VPN solutions, with a focus on IPSec and IKE exchange processes.

Requirements

• CCNP certification is required.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience for B1 switches and routers.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience for B2 switches and routers.
• Strong understanding of routing protocols, VRF, and routing administration.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Fortinet wireless solutions and the ability to translate terminology to Cisco.
• Basic knowledge of wireless connectivity troubleshooting.
