About the position

This highly visible position will be responsible for implementing and supporting the long-term vision for technological direction and evolving Enterprise Architecture. The position will work closely with the Infrastructure Engineering Leadership and other Network Engineers to develop and implement a long-term strategy for the enterprise to ensure the systems and the team are operating at maximum efficiency. The candidate will provide technical leadership on application projects to ensure the application team delivers integrated business and technology solutions that meet the customer's needs. The Network Engineer must develop a thorough understanding of the application, supporting infrastructure, and business requirements, as well as communicate the long-term Enterprise Architecture vision. Additionally, the Network Engineer must keep up with the current state of IT compute and storage solutions and share that knowledge with peers and application teams. This position reports to the Network Engineering Manager.

Responsibilities

• Implement and support the long-term vision for technological direction and evolving Enterprise Architecture.
• Work closely with Infrastructure Engineering Leadership and other Network Engineers to develop and implement a long-term strategy for the enterprise.
• Provide technical leadership on application projects to ensure integrated business and technology solutions are delivered.
• Develop a thorough understanding of the application, supporting infrastructure, and business requirements.
• Communicate the long-term Enterprise Architecture vision to stakeholders.
• Keep up with the current state of IT compute and storage solutions and share knowledge with peers and application teams.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5+ years of experience in an enterprise environment as a Senior Network Administrator or Network Engineer role.
• Architecture, deployment, and Level-3 troubleshooting experience in cloud networking concepts in Azure or AWS.
• Automation experience with PowerShell, Python, or similar tools.
• Experience with Cisco Nessus and/or Aruba Switching & Routing technologies.
• Experience with Cisco and/or Palo Alto Firewall & VPN solutions.
• Experience with F5 and/or A10 Load Balancing solutions.
• Solid working knowledge of network communication and routing protocols.
• Ability to rapidly absorb and implement new technologies, platforms, and procedures.
• Solid understanding of information security concepts and practices.
• Experience with high volume websites and large scale information solutions.
• Participation in on-call rotation as either primary or secondary engineer.

• Certifications are not required but are an added plus.
