About the position

Rite-Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Network Engineer to join their field service team at the Naval Undersea Warfare Center in Newport, RI. The role involves installing, troubleshooting, and repairing data networks, while collaborating with both internal IT support and external clients to provide effective networking solutions. Responsibilities

• Install all new hardware, systems, and software for networks
• Install, configure, and maintain network services, equipment, and devices
• Configure software upgrades on routers, switches, and other network hardware
• Plan and support network and computing infrastructure
• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot problems and outages
• Schedule updates and upgrades
• Document network problems and resolutions for future reference

Requirements

• Ability to prioritize and multi-task
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Available to work outside of regular working hours and weekends
• Advanced experience with Cisco IOS and deploying Cisco routers/switches
• Minimum two years' experience with computer hardware installation and repair
• Hands-on experience implementing and administrating network devices such as firewalls, routers, VPN, and backup applications
• Certifications: Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), CompTIA Security+ or CompTIA CASP

Nice-to-haves

• Military or government experience preferred
• Active security clearance preferred
• Active US passport preferred
