As a Network Engineer on the team, you will provide mission-critical technology support and execution. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include Low Voltage engineering, design, and standards compliance throughout the company and its enterprises. Some of the main responsibilities for this role include designing and implementing low voltage cabling for team projects, providing site evaluations and selections (due diligence evaluations), and working with architects to develop construction documents (CDs). You will also evaluate vendor pricing and bids, perform construction management, and manage vendor activity as it pertains to low voltage infrastructure. Acting as a liaison between construction projects and CVS IT, you will coordinate IT activities and define, document, and enforce cabling standards. Additionally, you will design, recommend, and implement new solutions to improve the environment, manage and document the life cycle of the low voltage infrastructure from design, implementation, move, add or change, troubleshoot to demo, and collaborate across departments to determine optimal system implementations.

Responsibilities

  • Designing and implementing low voltage cabling for team projects.
  • Providing site evaluations and selections (due diligence evaluations).
  • Working with architects to develop construction documents (CDs).
  • Evaluating vendor pricing and bids.
  • Performing construction management and managing vendor activity as it pertains to low voltage infrastructure.
  • Acting as a liaison between construction projects and CVS IT to coordinate IT activities.
  • Defining, documenting, and enforcing cabling standards.
  • Designing, recommending, and implementing new solutions to improve the environment.
  • Managing and documenting the life cycle of the low voltage infrastructure from design, implementation, move, add or change, troubleshoot to demo.
  • Collaborating across departments to determine optimal system implementations.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience working with low voltage cabling.
  • Knowledge of specific properties, limitations, and troubleshooting of low voltage cabling.
  • 2+ years of experience with low voltage copper and fiber cabling infrastructure.
  • Strong skills in MS Office products.

Nice-to-haves

  • Highly organized individual able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • 2+ years of project management experience.
  • Basic knowledge of Cisco switch architecture.
  • Ability to take instructions from senior members of the team.
  • RCDD Certification.
