This role is primarily on-site, with some flexibility for remote work in the future. The Network Security Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the security, stability, and integrity of the organization's network infrastructure, focusing on both data center (DC) and cloud environments. This includes designing, implementing, and maintaining robust network security systems, managing firewalls, monitoring network traffic, and ensuring compliance with cybersecurity standards. The engineer will play a crucial role in integrating cloud-based solutions, optimizing network performance in cloud platforms, and supporting the virtualization of network resources. Collaboration with IT teams is essential, requiring a deep understanding of network protocols, firewall management, cloud security, and virtualization technologies. The responsibilities of the Network Engineer include providing technical support in network infrastructure, assisting in the implementation of technology solutions, and supporting the design and maintenance of network systems. The role also involves managing firewalls, ensuring the security and integrity of network boundaries, and supporting the operation and maintenance of network and monitoring systems. The engineer will contribute to planning and implementing network infrastructure, assist in managing VMware NSX environments, and support the development of cloud-based solutions. Additionally, the engineer will aid in upgrading network systems hardware and participate in collaborative projects involving network systems integration with business and healthcare solutions. Technical assistance and support will be provided in network systems, including cloud platform integration and firewall management, while also participating in an on-call rotation to support the medical center networks, which operate 24/7.
