Sprout Fiber Internet, powered by Cullman Electric Cooperative, is seeking highly qualified, talented, and motivated applicants for the position of Network Engineer. The individual in this position will be responsible for developing the design, configuration, enhancement, and troubleshooting of Sprout's data network and equipment. This position will be integral in leading teams that develop and test new products, troubleshoot complex network issues, maintain the health and security of Sprout's fiber network and associated systems, and resolving highly complex issues escalated from the Networks Operations teams. The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field from an accredited college or university. A minimum of three (3) years of related experience in the field of network management is required. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered. Relevant Industry certifications such as CCNA and Net+ are preferred. The key job requirements include skills in communications (oral and written), time management, teamwork, and a strong emphasis on accuracy and thoroughness, with detailed-oriented skills used to manage complex systems. Applicants should have a working knowledge of Windows-based software and computer applications in addition to working knowledge of network protocols: BGP, MPLS, VRF, VLAN, 802.1x, DNS, and DHCP.
