Supermicro IT team is seeking a seasoned Network Engineer to lead the global network engineering team projects in domains such as WAN, SDWAN, Wireless, Firewalls, MPLS, BGP, Cloud interconnectivity, Vendor management, Network planning, design, implementation, and management of extensive infrastructure across multiple geographical locations. Strong leadership, project management skills, and the ability to navigate the intersection of networking and security are crucial for success in this role. The ideal candidate will ensure the scalability, reliability, and performance of on-premises and cloud-based network infrastructure on a global scale. They will develop and implement comprehensive global network strategies and solutions that align with business objectives, design and optimize routing protocols, including BGP, SD-WAN and MPLS, for efficient data flow within the organization's worldwide network infrastructure, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate cloud-based services into the global network architecture. Additionally, the Network Engineer will design and implement robust routing solutions to ensure optimal data transmission and network efficiency globally, optimize WAN performance, address latency and bandwidth challenges, and implement redundancy for high availability. Experience in firewall networking, intercampus routing, SDN - Software defined networking, DR site routing, and network monitoring is a must. The role also involves overseeing and collaborating with the IT leadership team to align global network projects with broader organizational goals.
