About the position

The Network Engineer position at Abile Group involves providing Network and Cybersecurity services to support an Intelligence Community customer. The role requires collaboration with a team to manage transport and cybersecurity IT services across multiple networks and security domains globally, including new facility constructions. The ideal candidate will independently handle responsibilities related to network maintenance, troubleshooting, and enhancements to meet customer mission goals.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates system maintenance and monitors multiple WAN/LAN environments.
  • Assists with research and implementation of enterprise system-wide network solutions.
  • Troubleshoots and resolves network media and components.
  • Evaluates and monitors health and performance of the network.
  • Develops and maintains a road map for capabilities, operations, and technologies.
  • Assists with development and execution of test plans and documentation of network configuration changes.
  • Supports network traffic analysis and bandwidth optimization efforts.
  • Evaluates and reports on new/emerging network technologies.
  • Recommends changes and/or technology upgrades for performance and standardization.
  • Follows customer network security processes and ensures compliance with government policies.
  • Represents customer requirements in technical exchanges with other agencies.
  • Performs site surveys for new installations and technology refresh.
  • Installs, maintains, and troubleshoots satellite communications equipment.
  • Develops and maintains network architecture diagrams.

Requirements

  • TS/SCI clearance with ability to obtain CI poly.
  • Bachelor's Degree and six years of additional experience.
  • 8+ years of related technical experience in Network and Transport technologies.
  • 4+ years' experience with large-scale enterprise/global networks.
  • Required Certification: IAT II.
  • Understanding of the DoD Architecture Framework and key DoD network architecture instructions.
  • Experience with Juniper switches, routers, and firewalls (MX, EX, SRX devices).
  • Experience with cryptographic devices (KG-175G/X, KG-245A/X).
  • Experience with network analysis tools (HP/Microfocus, Juniper Secure Analytics, Infoblox, Riverbed).
  • Experience with supporting IP services to connect to NIPRNET, SIPRNET, and JWICS.
  • Experience with OSPF, BGP, MPLS, RSVP/LDP L2/3VPNs, VRFs, IKE/IPSec, GRE tunnels.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's Degree.
