The Network Engineer position involves providing consultative services and installing the network platform, integrating applications, and creating libraries. This role is essential for maintaining the integrity and performance of the network infrastructure, ensuring that all systems are functioning optimally and securely. The Network Engineer will be responsible for adding users, controlling access to document libraries, and setting permissions to ensure that sensitive information is protected while still being accessible to authorized personnel. In addition to user management, the Network Engineer will perform maintenance on the network/platform, servers, and intranet. This includes troubleshooting and resolving network issues or malfunctions, providing network support, and conducting end-user training to ensure that all users are equipped to utilize the network effectively. The role also involves performing data retrieval and backup procedures to prevent data loss, ensuring that there is sufficient storage space by performing clean-ups and archiving data as necessary. The Network Engineer will review usage and activity reports, making adjustments to optimize user experiences. They will maintain the network infrastructure, managing encryption, security zones, and firewalls to protect the organization from potential threats. Staying up to date with network developments is crucial, as the engineer will be responsible for performing version updates and upgrades as needed. The role requires planning, recommending, and executing changes to improve network performance and reliability. Utilizing a comprehensive knowledge of multiple technical disciplines, unique applications, and management practices, the Network Engineer will develop technical solutions to client challenges. They will assist clients in planning and developing objectives and goals, supporting these objectives while conforming to the client's operating practices. Regular and punctual attendance is expected, and the engineer may be assigned additional duties as needed.
