About the position

The Network Engineer at Orange County's Credit Union is responsible for defining, designing, and implementing system communications and solution improvements. This role involves managing the company's servers, storage, and networks, ensuring high levels of continuity and availability. The engineer will also propose and implement system enhancements, coordinate system planning, and support organizational digital transformation efforts.

Responsibilities

• Administration and management of the company's servers, storage, and networks including hybrid Azure Active Directory environment.
• Manage Cisco Route, Switch, and Firewalls.
• Oversee AWS and Azure management.
• Handle SAN management and virtualization environment (VMWare).
• Implement and manage routing protocols BGP and EIGRP.
• Integrate automation processes into the network management.
• Participate in cloud infrastructure design and maintenance.
• Collaborate with other professionals to ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Assist in the coordination of various testing efforts and evaluation of solution designs.
• Identify and implement automation opportunities in line with business requirements.
• Assist with Help Desk escalation and support.
• Participate in DR plan testing and ongoing tuning.
• Maintain and monitor networking assets and lifecycle.
• Develop and maintain documentation, including network diagrams and security configurations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• 8 to 10 years of experience implementing and managing Cisco networking devices.
• 5+ years of experience as a Systems Engineer/Administrator.
• 5+ years managing public cloud workloads (AWS or Azure preferred).
• Strong command of current network/server operating systems and applications, specifically Windows Server 2012/2016/2019, Exchange Hybrid, Azure, and M365 SaaS technologies.
• Experience with scripting and automation tools (PowerShell, Shell, etc.).

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with VDi Administration.
• Knowledge of security best practices in network management.
