Sentar is looking for a Network Engineer to support our Federal Government Client in Quantico, VA. The ideal candidate will provide technical engineering support for a highly complex network infrastructure environment that includes multiple enclaves with various classification levels. This role is critical in ensuring the integrity and performance of the network systems that support our federal agency's operations. The Network Engineer will be responsible for gathering user network requirements through various methodologies to create necessary technical documentation, including system requirements documents, systems security requirements documents, and system test plans. In this position, you will install, maintain, and evaluate network systems and communications systems. Troubleshooting and resolving network issues involving various protocols, topologies, and networking hardware will be a key part of your responsibilities. You will utilize your knowledge of internetworking, computer systems, routers, switches, firewalls, and peripherals to enhance your understanding of current network designs and collaborate effectively with other team members. The role requires both independent work and teamwork to improve network solutions and contribute to network service enhancements. Candidates must have an active Top-Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain an SCI. The hiring process includes a preliminary phone interview with the prime contractor, followed by a second round phone interview with technical leads. If approved, the candidate will undergo FSO checks for clearance before the VAR process can begin, which is estimated to take about three weeks. It is advised not to put in a notice until the process is complete, after which the start date will be confirmed with the customer.
