About the position
The Layer 3 Campus / SD-WAN Network Engineer will design, implement, and manage SD-WAN and network-edge solutions to ensure high performance and security. This role requires strong communication skills to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and involves a hybrid work model with three days per week onsite.
Responsibilities
- Maintain dynamic routing protocols to optimize network performance and reliability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate SD-WAN solutions with on-premises infrastructure.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot complex network issues.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for standardized network procedures.
- Provide recommendations for system improvements and optimizations.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in networking technologies.
- Participate in on-call support rotation and respond to network emergencies as needed.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in network engineering, with a focus on SD-WAN and Layer 3 dynamic routing protocols.
- Strong understanding and hands-on experience with architecting and deploying SD-WAN solutions from leading vendors.
- Proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting dynamic routing protocols such as OSPF, BGP, and EIGRP.
- Familiarity with network security concepts and technologies, including VPNs, firewalls, and access control.
- Relevant certifications such as CCNP, ACSDX, AWS advanced networking specialist, or equivalent are preferred.
- Experience with network monitoring and management tools (e.g., SolarWinds, PRTG, NetFlow).
