About the position

The Network Engineer will design, implement, troubleshoot, and manage enterprise customer networks, ensuring secure network traffic transmission across various platforms and vendors. This role requires a strong background in network engineering and the ability to work with various networking technologies and protocols.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage routing and switching for enterprise customer networks
• Ensure secure transmission of network traffic through multiple network nodes
• Build and manage networks using products from vendors like Cisco, Fortinet, Meraki, Velcloud, and Cradlepoint
• Configure and support routers and switches with networking protocols for seamless communication
• Troubleshoot network issues and analyze network performance on Windows and Linux servers
• Automate processes using Python within a cloudify orchestration system

Requirements

• BS degree in Telecommunications, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field with 5 years of experience in customer network engineering
• MS degree in Telecommunications, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field with 2-3 years of experience in customer network engineering
• Experience with networking vendors like Cisco, Fortinet, Meraki, Velcloud, and Cradlepoint
• Knowledge of networking protocols for configuring and supporting routers and switches
• Proficiency in troubleshooting on both Windows and Linux servers
• Python programming experience for configuration management and process automation

Nice-to-haves

• CCNP or Fortinet certification
• Experience with data networking protocols and telecommunications
• Proficiency with Python programming language for network automation
