The Network Engineer is responsible for installing, troubleshooting, supporting, and managing data and voice networks, which include both wired and wireless infrastructure critical to day-to-day operations. This position plays a vital role in ensuring that the network and collaboration systems maintain maximum uptime, with a strong emphasis on stability and reliability. Daily services provided by the Network Engineer include the configuration, administration, support, and maintenance of switches, routers, and wireless equipment, as well as other network infrastructure and application components. The systems managed by the Network Engineer encompass network switching and routing, wireless network security, IP-based telephone systems, DNS/DHCP, Internet gateways, and any other network-related systems required by Kaleida Health and its affiliated businesses. The role demands a proactive approach to network management, ensuring that all components function optimally to support the organization's operational needs. In addition to technical responsibilities, the Network Engineer is expected to increase job knowledge through continuing education and professional development opportunities. This includes attending conferences and staying updated with professional industry publications to remain current with the latest technologies and best practices in network management.
