We are offering a short-term contract employment opportunity for a Network Engineer in Addison, Illinois. The role involves working in a team environment to maintain and enhance our network systems. As a Network Engineer, you will collaborate with a small team to ensure the smooth operation of our network systems, implementing and managing network systems using Palo Alto, Cisco, and Prisma technologies. You will utilize Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) and Open Shortest Path First (OSPF) in network design and troubleshooting, while also monitoring and managing network performance to ensure optimal operation and user experience. In this role, you will be responsible for resolving network issues promptly and effectively, using advanced problem-solving skills. You will contribute to the planning and implementation of network security measures and assist in coordinating and executing network-related projects. Participation in an on-call rotation to address and resolve network issues outside of normal working hours is also expected. Collaboration with other team members to share knowledge and improve overall team performance is essential, as is ensuring proper documentation of network configurations and changes.
