About the position

The Network Engineer position at Insight Global involves resolving network problems, providing escalation support for critical outages, and maintaining relationships with customer technical teams. The role requires proactive communication and collaboration to ensure effective troubleshooting and documentation of network incidents. The engineer will also be responsible for conducting quarterly business reviews and knowledge transfer sessions to enhance customer understanding of Cisco products and processes.

Responsibilities

  • Provide escalation support and resolve critical network outages (severity 1 & 2 issues) and sophisticated network issues.
  • Relay detailed knowledge of customer network, critical sites, and operational procedures to the Cisco support team.
  • Create a recommendation report that includes root cause analysis, next steps, and recommendations for corrective actions in response to network incidents.
  • Assist in identifying areas where training is needed for customer teams.
  • Lead technical documentation initiatives related to network operations.
  • Build and maintain relationships with customer technical teams and management.
  • Document Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for network incidents.
  • Prepare quarterly business review reports on work and activities, including corrective action plans and future actions.
  • Conduct informal knowledge transfer sessions to enhance troubleshooting skills and provide Cisco product training.

Requirements

  • 3-4 years of experience in a related field.
  • CCNP certification (Route Switch) is required.
  • Proactive, go-getter, team-player attitude with strong communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with customer-facing roles in network engineering.
  • Familiarity with Cisco products and troubleshooting processes.
