About the position

The Network Engineer is responsible for the implementation and management of an enterprise network platform, focusing on planning, design, and maintenance to minimize risks of attacks. This role involves ensuring optimal network performance and providing technical support for network-related issues.

Responsibilities

• Network administration including routing, switching, gateway configuration, VPN, and security management.
• Plans, designs, implements, and supports the network and computing infrastructure.
• Assists with technology planning by researching the latest technologies and solutions.
• Implements functional policies and procedures for network architecture and service provision.
• Responsible for system and network standards, upgrades, maintenance, and monitoring.
• Monitors and reports on network/system performance metrics and service levels.
• Maintains a robust support process for the team.
• Provides technical direction and instruction for complex problems.
• Troubleshoots hardware and software issues on all computers.
• Rolls out hardware and software for optimal resource deployment.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in information systems/technology or related field.
• At least 3 years in a Network Engineer role with a proven record of accomplishment.
• Strong background in Network Engineering and Administration.
• 1+ years' experience in Cisco routing and switching, network architecture planning, Layer 2 and Layer 3 technologies.
• Ability to deploy company LAN/WAN, wireless networks, VPNs, and data communication.
• Strong technical knowledge of current network hardware, protocols, and standards including Cisco.
• Proficiency with Microsoft environments.
• Extensive application support experience with ticketing systems.
• Proven teamwork skills and ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
