About the position

The position is responsible for the daily administration, deployment, maintenance, monitoring, and troubleshooting of the network infrastructure. The role involves analyzing network hardware, software, and processes to engineer solutions that enhance efficiency, resiliency, security, and productivity within the network. The individual will assist in integrating networking design and consulting for various departments, generate documentation for new processes, and engage with vendors for network services.

Responsibilities

• Administer, deploy, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot the network infrastructure.
• Analyze network hardware, software, and processes to improve efficiency and security.
• Assist with integration of networking design for other departments.
• Generate and document action plans for new processes, hardware, and software deployment.
• Stage, deploy, maintain, configure, troubleshoot, and document network hardware and software.
• Monitor and resolve network degradation and outages.
• Maintain documentation of network processes, layouts, designs, and changes.
• Generate reports on network operational status, events, and compliance.
• Engage vendors for network software, hardware, and services.
• Provide technical support and training to team members and end users.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED with IS Certification and four years related experience; or Bachelor's degree in CIS with two years related experience; or CCNA Certification with four years of experience in network and security.
• In-depth knowledge of networking infrastructure, including datacenter and campus networking, network security, and compliance.
• Proficient in configuring firewalls, routers, switches, and understanding routing protocols.
• Expert knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems and networking in hypervisor environments.
