About the position

As a Network Engineer at Uline, you will play a crucial role in designing, configuring, and troubleshooting our communications network infrastructure. This position is integral to supporting one of the largest E-commerce sites in the U.S., and you will be part of a dedicated team that is passionate about technology and innovation. Your work will involve deploying and supporting networking facilities throughout the company, with a strong emphasis on routing and switching protocols such as EIGRP and BGP. You will also be responsible for documenting business needs as they relate to IT technology, ensuring that our network solutions align with the operational requirements of the business. In this role, you will need to stay abreast of emerging and current technologies, identifying solutions that can effectively meet the evolving needs of the business. You will develop IT infrastructure standards that will guide various operational areas, ensuring consistency and reliability across our network systems. Your expertise will be essential in managing large-scale vendors, and you will be expected to communicate effectively with various stakeholders within a matrix and global organization. This position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to delivering high-quality network solutions that enhance our operational capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Design, deploy and support networking facilities throughout the company with an emphasis on routing and switching including EIGRP and BGP.
  • Document business needs as it relates to IT technology.
  • Understand emerging and current technology and identify solutions to meet business needs.
  • Develop IT infrastructure standards for various operational areas.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience. Managing large-scale vendors a plus.
  • CCNA or CCNP certification preferred, routing and switching a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform in a Matrix and global organization.
  • Excellent communication skills.
