About the position

As a Network Engineer at Uline, you will play a crucial role in designing, configuring, and troubleshooting our communications network infrastructure. This position is integral to our industry-leading team that supports one of the largest E-commerce sites in the U.S. You will be responsible for deploying and supporting networking facilities throughout the company, with a strong emphasis on routing and switching protocols such as EIGRP and BGP. Your expertise will help ensure that our IT infrastructure meets the evolving needs of our business and supports our operational goals. In this role, you will document business needs as they relate to IT technology, ensuring that our network solutions align with organizational objectives. You will also be expected to stay abreast of emerging technologies and identify innovative solutions that can enhance our network capabilities. Developing IT infrastructure standards for various operational areas will be a key responsibility, allowing you to contribute to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of our IT operations. This position requires a collaborative mindset, as you will work closely with various teams across the organization. Your ability to communicate effectively will be essential in a matrixed and global environment, where you will need to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders. Additionally, you may be required to travel to Uline's North American locations to support our network infrastructure and ensure seamless operations across all sites.

Responsibilities

  • Design, deploy and support networking facilities throughout the company with an emphasis on routing and switching including EIGRP and BGP.
  • Document business needs as it relates to IT technology.
  • Understand emerging and current technology and identify solutions to meet business needs.
  • Develop IT infrastructure standards for various operational areas.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience. Managing large-scale vendors a plus.
  • CCNA or CCNP certification preferred, routing and switching a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform in a Matrix and global organization.
  • Able to travel to all Uline's North American locations.
  • Excellent communication skills.
