About the position

The Network Health Engineering Lead at Wipro Limited is responsible for leading the development and implementation of advanced network health monitoring and analysis tools, utilizing AI and GenAI technologies for predictive analytics and automated problem resolution. This role involves collaborating with engineering and operations teams to design and refine network architecture, ensuring high availability and performance across global infrastructure. The position also focuses on driving cloud-based solutions and modern data platforms to enhance network operations, while mentoring junior team members and promoting a culture of excellence within the network operations team.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and implementation of advanced network health monitoring and analysis tools, incorporating AI and GenAI technologies for predictive analytics and automated problem resolution.
  • Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to design and refine network architecture, ensuring high availability, scalability, and performance across client's global infrastructure.
  • Drive the adoption of cloud-based solutions and modern data platforms to enhance network operations and intelligence.
  • Engage in continuous improvement initiatives, identifying and addressing network vulnerabilities and performance bottlenecks.
  • Spearhead the integration of Generative AI into network health management processes, fostering innovation in network diagnostics and maintenance.
  • Conduct in-depth analyses and provide insights on network trends, risks, and opportunities for optimization.
  • Lead cross-functional projects to enhance network resilience and user experience, aligning with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
  • Mentor and guide junior team members, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous learning within the network operations team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, or a related field.
  • Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in network engineering, with a strong focus on network health, performance analysis, and optimization.
  • Proven expertise in leveraging cloud technologies, AI, and GenAI for network operations and health management.
  • Deep understanding of network systems architecture, design, and implementation principles, with a track record of innovation in network health monitoring and analysis.
  • Proficiency in programming languages (e.g., Java, Python) and familiarity with database technologies (e.g., Oracle, MySQL).
  • Experience with modern data platforms and cloud services (Azure, AWS, GCP) for network data analysis and operations.
  • Deep working knowledge of terrestrial and submarine network design, protocols, performance, and operational interfaces.
  • Deep working knowledge of Telecommunications Operations Systems and Architecture including TMF standards.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to lead complex technical projects and resolve challenging network issues.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, capable of effectively collaborating with and influencing cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Professional certifications in network systems domains (e.g., CCNP, CCIE) are a plus.
