The Lead Network Implementation Program Manager at Lumen is a pivotal role responsible for the comprehensive planning, scheduling, coordination, and management of a diverse array of projects. This position oversees the entire engineering and construction process, from initial conceptualization through to completion. The manager will supervise engineers, construction supervisors, contractors, various trade workers, and project managers to ensure that all aspects of Network Implementation align with Lumen's fiber build objectives. The role requires effective monitoring and management of quality and completion of work, with a focus on timely resolution of any issues that may arise. The Lead Network Implementation Program Manager will also be responsible for accurately reporting on project progress and updating relevant databases as necessary. Additionally, this position provides leadership during various calls and meetings, guiding the team on objectives, goals, metrics, and other business needs, and serves as the first point of escalation for market-related issues. In this role, the manager will handle end-to-end project management for various initiatives involving the relocation, maintenance, repair, and construction of Outside Plant (OSP) facilities. They will oversee the construction process from site survey to completion, ensuring that projects meet quality standards, budget constraints, and delivery timelines. Building strong relationships with engineering, construction, and splicing vendors is crucial, as is the ability to report on project progress to key stakeholders and update applicable systems. The position requires multi-discipline expertise and the ability to manage complex work involving external vendors, including network expansion, relocations, and building additions. The Lead Network Implementation Program Manager will also design and engineer the network buildout in accordance with Lumen's objectives, standards, and specifications. This includes performing site surveys, feasibility studies, cost estimates, and risk assessments for network projects. The manager will support the OSP fiber network by performing on-call duties, troubleshooting network issues, and analyzing complex problems to provide effective resolution plans. Coordination and communication with internal and external parties, including customers, vendors, contractors, regulators, and utility companies, are essential to ensure compliance with all applicable codes, regulations, policies, and procedures for network projects.
