The Lead Network Implementation Program Manager at Lumen is a pivotal role responsible for the comprehensive planning, scheduling, coordination, and management of a diverse array of projects. This position oversees the engineering and construction processes from initial conceptualization through to completion, ensuring that all aspects of the projects align with Lumen's fiber build objectives. The role requires effective monitoring and management of quality and completion of work, as well as timely resolution of any issues that may arise during the project lifecycle. The Lead Manager will be tasked with accurately reporting on project progress and updating relevant databases as necessary. Additionally, this position provides leadership during various calls and meetings, guiding the team on objectives, goals, metrics, and other business needs, while also serving as the first point of escalation for market-related issues. In this role, the Lead Network Implementation Program Manager will manage end-to-end project management for various initiatives involving the relocation, maintenance, repair, and construction of Outside Plant (OSP) facilities. The individual will oversee the construction process from site survey to project completion, ensuring that all projects meet the required quality standards, budget constraints, and timelines for delivery. Building and maintaining relationships with engineering, construction, and splicing vendors is crucial to ensure the quality of work performed. The manager will also be responsible for reporting on the progress of all projects and keeping key stakeholders informed, while managing complex work that involves external vendors for network expansion, relocations, and building additions. The role demands proficiency in designing and engineering network buildouts according to Lumen's objectives and standards. The manager will apply in-depth knowledge of networking protocols and possess excellent communication skills to troubleshoot complex network issues effectively. Responsibilities also include performing site surveys, feasibility studies, cost estimates, and risk assessments for network projects, as well as supporting the OSP fiber network through on-call duties and maintenance. The position requires coordination and communication with various internal and external parties, ensuring compliance with all applicable codes, regulations, policies, and procedures throughout the network projects.
