The Lead Network Implementation Program Manager at Lumen plays a crucial role in the planning, scheduling, coordinating, and managing of a diverse range of projects. The manager is responsible for supervising engineers, construction supervisors, contractors, various trade workers, and project managers to ensure that all aspects of Network Implementation align with Lumen's fiber build objectives. The role requires effective monitoring and management of quality and completion of work, with a focus on resolving issues promptly. Additionally, the manager is tasked with accurately reporting on project progress and updating relevant databases as necessary. Leadership is a key component of this role, as the manager will provide guidance during various calls and meetings, setting objectives, goals, and metrics to meet business needs. The position may require occasional office presence for training and collaboration sessions. In terms of responsibilities, the Lead Network Implementation Program Manager will manage end-to-end project management for various projects that involve the relocation, maintenance, repair, and construction of Outside Plant (OSP) facilities. This includes overseeing the construction process from site survey to completion, ensuring that projects meet quality standards, budget constraints, and delivery timelines. Building relationships with engineering, construction, and splicing vendors is essential to ensure the quality of work performed. The manager will also report on project progress to key stakeholders and update applicable systems accordingly. The role demands multi-discipline expertise and the ability to handle complex work involving external vendors, including network expansions, relocations, and building additions. The position requires proficiency in designing and engineering network buildouts according to Lumen's objectives and standards. The manager must apply in-depth knowledge of networking protocols and possess excellent communication skills for effective troubleshooting. Responsibilities also include performing site surveys, feasibility studies, cost estimates, and risk assessments for network projects. The manager will support the OSP fiber network by performing on-call duties, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs, while analyzing complex network issues to provide both short-term and long-term resolution plans. Coordination and communication with internal and external parties, including customers, vendors, contractors, regulators, and utility companies, are vital to ensure compliance with all applicable codes, regulations, policies, and procedures for network projects.
