About the position

The Network Integration Engineer I is responsible for the design, engineering, deployment, and maintenance of high-availability and secure Enterprise Information Technology network systems and services for Classified Network Environments. This role involves engineering, implementing, and maintaining automation technologies and infrastructure as code (IaC) services to support various network environments. The position requires technical planning, architecture, design, implementation, configuration management, maintenance, troubleshooting, and monitoring of network services and solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Engineer Enterprise Information Technology networking systems and services in support of Engineering, Software Development, and corporate initiatives.
  • Plan and administer IT infrastructure to meet changing business requirements and improve service efficiency.
  • Research and recommend advanced networking technologies.
  • Develop and document policies and procedures for consistent infrastructure management.
  • Collaborate with Software Developers and Engineers to provide sustainable and scalable Enterprise Platforms and Services.
  • Participate in the Software Development Lifecycle and Engineering processes to meet IT needs.
  • Develop and apply network management policies through automation and advanced technologies.
  • Deploy and maintain Enterprise Infrastructure network services including configuration management and security services.
  • Administer the strategy for operations and support of the IT network infrastructure.
  • Coordinate physical environment usage and planning across geographies.
  • Provide input into cost measurement, tracking, and reporting.
  • Develop detailed design of hardware and software infrastructure to meet project requirements.
  • Administer network hardware and NOS build standards.
  • Implement and enforce security policies for data protection.
  • Maintain and enforce Configuration and Change Management of Enterprise Systems.
  • Conduct regular preventative maintenance and troubleshoot complex problems.
  • Perform root cause analysis for long-term problem resolution.
  • Create key performance indicators and metrics reports.
  • Provide cost and chargeback reporting to management and customers.
  • Prepare and present technical content to peers and management.
  • Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department and the company.

Requirements

  • BS degree or higher in Engineering or a related technical field.
  • Current, active TS/SCI security clearance and DOD 8570 Requirements.
  • Experience with Nexus OS, Palo Alto GUI, Juniper OS, and F5 Load-balancers.
  • CCNA certification.
  • Experience with Cisco IOS.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Ability to contribute to the success of small teams through excellent teamwork.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience working in a Classified Network Environment.
  • Experience in network engineering, change management, integration, configuration/data management.
  • Knowledge of security requirements such as DISA STIGs.
  • Knowledge of network performance monitoring tools such as SolarWinds.
